Robert Ellsworth Smith, Jr., age 69, of Wooster, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, September 28th, 2017 at Sycamore Run Nursing Center in Millersburg following a period of declining health. He had been under the wonderful care of Life Care Hospice.

He was born on August 3, 1948 in Cumberland, MD to Robert ,Sr. and Ester Louise Smith.

He proudly served in the US Marine Corp during the Vietnam conflict in the Tet Offensive campaign.

He had been a restaurant manager for many years; was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his close golf buddies.

Services will take place on Friday, October 6th, 9:30 a.m. at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman where military honors will also take place.Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to: Shriners Hospitals For Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607.
