Obituary:
Mary Price-Turner, age 80, of 2700 Cleveland Rd., Apt. E-8, Wooster, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, July 15th, 2010 at her residence where she was surrounded by her loving family. Memorial services will be Saturday, July 24th, 2010, 11:00 a.m. at Second Baptist Church in Wooster with Pastor Ricky Brown officiating and Eulogist Elder Ronald Turner of the Ebenezer Church Of God in Christ from New Castle, Pa. Visitation will be one hour prior to services from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.) It was her wishes that a private interment take place at the convenience of her family prior to memorial services. Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to: 2700 Cleveland Rd., Apt. #E-8, Wooster, Ohio 44691. Mary was born on July 29, 1929 in Wooster to David and Susie (Tarpley) Price and has been an area resident for all of her life. She attended Wooster High School; was formerly employed by Dr. Beason in Wooster; the Apple Creek Developmental Center; United Telephone Company and then with Horn's Nursing Center. She married Harry Turner. He went home to be with the Lord on June 6, 2001. She was a devoted homemaker who enjoyed spending time with family and especially raising her children. She was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Wooster; enjoyed puzzles; crocheting and painting. She is survived by her daughter's, Charlotte Steele-Bass and Melissa Turner both of Wooster; sons, Eugene (Joanne) Turner of Orrville, Elder Ronald Turner, Sr. of New Castle, Pa., and Stewart (Dana) Turner, Sr.of Orrville; 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren and a special great-grandchild with a host of nephews and nieces. In addition to her parents, and husband, she is preceded in death by a son, David Charles Turner sisters, Charlotte and Hattie; brothers, James and David, Jr. The family wishes to thank the staff of the Wayne County Hospice and Palliative Care for their excellent care.
