Obituary for Denise J Marjamaa

Denise J Marjamaa, age 69, of Wooster, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, July 15th, 2019 at her residence following an unexpected illness. She was surrounded by her family both physically and in spirit.

She was born on July 7, 1950 in Detroit, MI. to William and Lois (Saladin) Doyle.

Denise graduated with a BS Degree from Michigan State University in 1972. She then married David E. Marjamaa on July 8, 1972 in Livonia, MI. He survives.

She had worked as a speech therapist for the Grand Rapids public school system in Michigan for 5 years before retiring to then homeschool her own children.

She had previously lived in Parker, CO. before moving to Wooster where she has been residing for the last 17 years.

Denise was attending New Beginnings Crossroads Fellowship church in West Salem. She previously had been very active and enjoyed serving in every church previously attended.

She was very inquisitive throughout her life and enjoyed reading but mostly loved spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her husband of 47 years, she is survived by her children, Danielle (Jim) Tung and their children, Megan, Julia and Jacob Tung all of Portland, OR., Jeffrey (Laura) Marjamaa and their children, Brayden and Kylie all of Dayton, Oh.; her siblings, Faye Duckworth of Northville, MI., Bruce (Alice) Doyle of Fort Myers, Fla. and Judy Husbands of Chicago, Ill.; many nieces, nephews and numerous friends in Ohio and elsewhere.

Her parents precedes her in death.

A celebration of her life will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.
