Obituary for Doris Irene "Nena" Hyatt (Edwards)
Doris Irene "Nena" Hyatt, age 80, of Wooster went home to be with the Lord at the University Hospital in Cleveland following a period of declining health.
She was born in Marietta, Ohio on February 11, 1939 to John Preston and Avia Eileen (VanWay) Edwards and has been an Orrville and Wooster resident for most of her life.
She married Cecil E. Hyatt on November 27, 1954 in Marietta, ohio. He went home to be with the Lord on September 26, 2009.
She was a devoted homemaker who also was a member of Orrville Christian Church; previously volunteered with the Orrville Schools and with a member of T.O.P.S.; enjoyed gardening and sewing but mostly loved spending time with family and especially her grandchildren.
Doris is survived by her children, Ashley Hyatt of Wooster, David (Ruth) Hyatt of Canton and Tony Hyatt of Orrville; 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; a brother, Lloyd (Carolyn) Edwards of Virginia.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her sons, Michael Hyatt and Terry Hyatt; a daughter, Rebecca Caskey, a brother, Carl Edwards and a sister, Eloise Wriston; her best friend, Pat DeHart.
It was her previous wishes, to not have public services and a private interment will take place at the convenience of the family at a later date in Marietta.
