Obituary for E. Joyce Mumaw (Gish)
E. Joyce Mumaw, age 90, of Wooster, entered into rest on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at Ohio's Hospice Life Care in Wooster.
She was born on May 27, 1931 in Canton, Ohio to Gale G. and Edna M. (Rothmayer) Gish and later married Dean L. Mumaw in 1953. He entered into rest on September 12, 1996.
She had lived in the Rittman and Wooster area's for all of her life and was a graduate of Rittman High School.
Joyce had previously been employed at the P.C.A. (Packaging Corporation of America) in Rittman and also with the Wooster City Schools working in the cafeteria. She had attended Northview Alliance Church in Wooster.
She is survived by her 5 children, Cathy (Larry) Mackey of Mechanicsburg, PA., Rick (Patty) Mumaw, Ken (Ari) Mumaw, Sharon Lemin and Chris (Dayton) Reusser all of Wooster; 9 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; 2 nieces and a nephew.
In addition to her parents and beloved husband, she is preceded in death by brother, Eugene Gish and a son-in-law, Randy Lemin.
A private family service will be held at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster with Pastor Mark Galbreath officiating with burial to follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
