Obituary for Franklin D. "Duff" Akers

Franklin D. AKA, "Duff" and "Frankie" Akers, Jr., age 48 of Wooster, passed away, Thursday, April 16th, 2020 in Wooster following an unexpected illness.

He was born on January 1, 1972 in Wooster to Franklin D. Sr. and Aretta (Edgell) Akers and has been a Wooster resident for all of his life.

He had worked in the auto body restoration field and enjoyed riding motorcycles and mountain climbing.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Brittany Akers of Fredericksburg and a son, Spencer Hill of PA.; a granddaughter, Madyson Akers and numerous other family, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Crystal T. Akers and his maternal grandparents, Charles and Lucy Edgell and paternal grandparents, Alvis and Dixie Akers.

There will be no public services or visitation. A private service will take place at the convenience of the family and burial will be at Wooster Cemetery at a later date.
