Obituary for Fred Woodrow Harpster

Fred Woodrow Harpster, 68, of Wooster, entered through his eternal gates on Tuesday November 24, 2020 after a brief period of declining health.

Fred was born in Akron, Ohio on May 15, 1952 to Woodrow and Jennie Harpster. Fred was a graduate of Wadsworth High School in 1970 and later went on to study accounting at Akron University.
He was married for five years to Pamela Dunn, with whom he had two children; Ann Joy and Jaimee Leigh. Fred most recently made his home with daughter, Jaimee.

Fred will be remembered for his calm demeanor and joyful approach to life. He truly was a force of nature with a kind soul. He was an avid lover of animals (particularly, his best friend, Hoagie James the Brussels Griffon) , UFOs, and politics. He beamed with pride when speaking of his grandson, Bailey, with whom he resided. Fred was also passionate about cars and could often be found watching television programs about them.

Fred was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him. He was like no other.
Fred was predeceased by his mother and father and his beloved grand-dog, Isabella Marie. He is survived by Jaimee Harpster (Gina Bertelli) of Wooster, Ann (Jeff) Clay of Wadsworth, his grandchildren Hailey, Bailey, Deven and Laccie and great grandchildren Amara and Christopher.

Due to the current pandemic, the family has decided that no services will be held.

A private Celebration of his Life will take place at a later date at the convenience of the family.

Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster is honored with serving the family.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
