Obituary for Geneva J. Stover (O'Neal)

Geneva J. Stover, age 100 and a life long resident of the Wadsworth area, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 19th, 2019 at Shady Lawn Health Care Community in Dalton following a short illness.

She was born in Little Rock, AR. to Jacob Grode and Pearl (Sisil) O'Neal.

She married Vernon Stover and was happily married for 53 years. He passed away on December 31, 1985.

She was a devoted homemaker throughout her life and a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Wadsworth where she had also been very active for many years.

Geneva enjoyed being a long time craftswoman in many capacities and previously had been a Girl Scout Leader for over 25 years. She mostly loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Cindi (Frank) Hayes of Dalton, Oh.; grandchildren, Jennifer (Bill) Battig- Orr of Wadsworth, Oh., Stacey Battig of Las Vegas, NV and Jessie (Blake) Nussbaum of Dalton, Oh.; great-grandchildren, Zach & Abby Orr and Ava & Addison Nussbaum; and a son-in-law, Henry M. McClarnon.

In addition to her parents and beloved husband, she is preceded in death by a son, Duane Stover and her daughter, Rebecca McClarnon.

A service for inurnment will take place at the Woodlawn Cemetery committal shelter in Wadsworth on Monday, 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Adam Marquette officiating.

Following the committal service, there will be a time of fellowship and comfort food at Trinity United Church Of Christ in Wadsworth.

Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster is honored with serving the family.
