Obituary for Glenn W. Crossmon

Glenn W. Crossmon, age 90, of Wooster, entered into rest on Monday, October 18, 2021 at Ohio's Hospice Life Care in Wooster following a short period of declining health.

He was born on May 6, 1931 in Kent, Ohio to Glen A. and Edith (Harvey) Crossmon.

He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict from November 19, 1951 - October 31, 1953.

Glenn married Sally Ann Phillips who was the love of his life on October 27, 1951. She entered into rest on March 9, 2005.

He had previously worked as a Machinist for Cuyahoga Falls Engineering Co. for 8 years before moving to the Loudonville area. He then moved to the Wooster area in 1980 and has been an area resident ever since.

He had previously worked for Wayne Health and had also worked as a cook for numerous restaurants throughout the area which also included The Best Western Hotel. He most recently worked in the Maintenance Dept. at Wooster Community Hospital for many years before his retirement. He had also worked at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster as a family service advisor.

Glenn enjoyed and loved playing cards which was his favorite pastime.

He is survived by his children, David T. Crossmon of Wooster, Jim (Cheryl) Crossmon of Mansfield, Kathy (Terry) Miller of Loudonville, Bob (Maryanne) Crossmon of Columbus and Laurie (Tammy) Tormaschy of New Castle, IN.; grandchildren, Eric, Jaime, Jennifer, Brian, Theresa, Katie, Jeremy and Joey; great-grandchildren, Jordan Catrina William, Madison, Vanessa, Evan, Olivia and Vivian; and numerous friends.

In addition to his parents and beloved wife, he is preceded in death by his half-brother, Edward Wagner and half-sisters, Ruth Bevington and Dorothy Lambert.

Services will take place on Monday, October 25, 2021 at North Life Baptist Church, 2437 Back Orrville Rd. in Wooster with Pastor Harley Snode officiating. Entombment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Gardens in Wooster.

Visitation will be 2 hours prior (11:00 -1:00 p.m.) to services at the church.

Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster is honored with serving the family.
