Obituary for Harold N. Seely

Harold Nelson Seely, age 87, of Wooster, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Glendora Health Care Center in Wooster following a period of declining health.

He was born on January 16, 1934 in Wooster to Harold N. and Blanche A. (Bright) Seely and has been a Wayne County resident for all of his life.

Following his graduation from Wooster High School, he then attended Wooster Business College.

Harold then served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict from 1952 - 1956 and then enlisted with the Marine Corps Reserve from 1960 - 1963.

He married Nancy L. Woodruff on July 7, 1962. She passed away in October, 1987.

Harold worked for 27 years with Packaging Corporation of America in the Maintenance Dept. for over 27 years and following his retirement, he worked as a Captain for SOS Security for the next 9 years.

He was a member of the Wooster Elks Club for many years; the Rittman Moose Club 860; Amvets Post #6 Massillon, Ohio and the Apple Creek Legion Post 147. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and mostly loved spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his son, Christopher (Kimberly) Seely of Wooster; and numerous other family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Matthew Todd Seely and his second wife, Wilma J. Young who passed away on October 28, 1993; sisters, Beverly Ann Seely and Sally J. Lester.

It was his previous wish that there be no public services and a private interment has taken place at the convenience of the family.
