Obituary for Jane Ellen Buxton (Little)
Jane Ellen Buxton, age 87, of Wooster, entered into rest on Monday, January 13, 2020 at Life Care Hospice in Wooster following a short illness.
She was born in Paterson, N.J. on December 9, 1932 to Benjamin O'Dell and Ellen Florence (Rushton) Little and has been an area resident in Wooster for most of her life.
She graduated with a Bachelors Degree from Eastern Nazarene College in Cambridge, MA. and married Gaylord Buxton in 1965. He entered into rest in 2002.
While living in Wooster, she had previously worked as a librarian at the Wooster Public Library for over 20 years and then worked for the former Horn's Nursing Home as a nurses aide while caring for her husband.
She was very active in attending church that included St. James Church and the Wooster Nazarene Church and was a member and a soldier of the Wooster Salvation Army; was an accomplished pianist and loved to attend her Monday night Fusion Group at The Wooster Nazarene Church; was an avid cat lover.
She is survived by her many friends and especially her friends at the Salvation Army.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her brother.
A memorial service will take place at the Salvation Army in Wooster on Monday, February 3rd, 2020.
