Obituary for John Keller

John Keller, age 79, of Wooster, entered into rest on Saturday. , May 21, 2022 at Glendora Health Care Center in Wooster following a period of declining health.

He was born on October 31, 1942 in Morgantown, W.Va. to Arnold and Sara (Moon) Keller.

John served in the US Army from November 1, 1965 - September 25, 1967 and later married Sharon Storts on May 8, 1971 in Columbus, Ohio. She survives.

After graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Agricultural Economics from Ohio State University, he had owned/operated his own trucking business for many years.

He then became a corporate pilot and flew for a private engineering company from Columbus, Ohio for many years before retiring in 2002. Flying was his passion and a very important part of his life.

He had lived most of his life in Elyria, Ohio before moving to the West Salem/Wooster area where he’s been a resident since 1971.

Following his retirement, he enjoyed building detailed model airplanes and mostly loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by his children, Ken L. (Elaine) Keller of Okeechobee , Florida and Joseph K. (Jill) Keller of Wooster; grandchildren, Karter and Evan Keller of Okeechobee, Fl. and Jay and Max Keller of Wooster.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his mother, and step father, William “Karl” Wilson whom he was very fond of and his brother, Kenneth Keller.

A Celebration of Visitation will take place on Sunday, June 12, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster.
