Obituary for Kathryn Howell

Kathryn Howell, age 69, of Wooster, entered into rest, Friday, December 11, 2020 at WestView Healthy Living in Wooster following a period of declining health.

Kathryn (Kate) was born in Wooster, OH on April 4th, 1951 to the parents of Shirley (Sprunger) and Delbert Eisinger. She spent all of the childhood years in the Wooster area with her loving family, siblings Ken and Patti. There she went to Triway High School and excelled in academics along with being a varsity cheerleader.

Following high school, Kate attended then, Akron University (The University of Akron). After her first year at Akron, while home in Wooster for the summer, she met Bob Howell at a local basketball camp at The College of Wooster. The two fell in love instantly. Kate then finished her collegiate years with Bob at Ohio University and the two fell further in love.

After college, Kate and Bob got married on August 20th, 1975 in Apple Creek, OH. Years then after, the two started their loving family welcoming their daughter Emily (1978) and son Adam (1981). The family spent most of their years together in Mansfield, OH and created many amazing memories together through those years.

Kate was the most loving daughter, sister, mother, and friend. Her life was spent always caring for others and putting others needs before herself. In her professional career, Kate lived her life the same way, putting others needs before her own. Kate spent almost 30 years in education teaching children with special needs.

Kate spent her final years being cared for by the wonderful people at West View Healthy Living in Wooster, OH. Kate was preceded in death by Bob Howell (2019) and her parents Delbert (2003) and Shirley (2009). Kate is survived by her daughter Emily (Sean) Flaherty and son Adam (Lindsey) Howell; grandchildren Meyah, Dominic, and Aurie Howell; brother Ken(Vicki) Eisinger and sister Patti Eisinger and nephews Matt, Nathan and Elliott and nieces Sara and Allie.

Due to the pandemic situation and to keep others safe, there will be no services or visitation at this time.

A celebration of her life will take place at a later date this next year and private interment has taken place at the convenience of the family.
