Obituary for Linda L. Hendrix (Huebner)
Linda L. Hendrix, age 76, of Wooster, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Ohio's Hospice LifeCare in Wooster following a courageous battle with cancer. Her family was by her side.
Linda was born on December 22, 1945 in Wooster to Alvin and Jean (Green) Huebner and has been a Wooster resident all of her life.
She married Daniel L. Hendrix on July 24, 1964 in Wooster. He went home to be with the Lord on March 9, 2007.
She had started working for Wooster Tool & Sandy Supply Co. as Office Administrator for many years. She then worked for Dr. Neil Pooler in Wooster then with Wayne Health Services & Supplies as a Bookkeeper before her retirement.
Linda had attended Wooster Nazarene church where she also participated in other activities including the women's groups, such as Laughing Ladies. She cared deeply for her family. And she absolutely loved being “Grammy” to her two granddaughters. Spending special moments with dear friends and other family members were very important to her. She fought a long and hard breast cancer battle; a true warrior. She had spunk, humor and was quick-witted. No matter where she went, she could make a perfect stranger smile with things she said or did. She will be missed by many.
She is survived by her children, Matthew (Melinda) Hendrix and Susan (Ron) Schlauch and her granddaughters, Hannah Jean Schlauch and Danielle Hendrix all of Wooster.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her grandson, Gage Schlauch and a brother Robert "Bob" Huebner.
There will be no public services and her previous wish was to have a private service at the convenience of the family.
Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster is honored with serving the family.
