Obituary for Lois E. Burns (Singer)
Lois E. Burns, age 82, of Wooster, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 29, 2021 at Wooster Community Hospital after a period of declining health.
She was born on May 29, 1939 in Burton City, Ohio to Burl and Luella (Horst) Singer.
Lois had previously resided in Florida for many years before returning to the Wooster area in 2015.
She married her second husband, M. Duane Burns in 1990. He passed away in 2004.
She enjoyed raising her Yorkshire Terrier canine companions throughout the years and loved living in southern Florida. She enjoyed time with her family in recent years.
She is survived by her son, Ken (Joyce) Gilbert of Wooster; 2 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; a sister, Peggy (Larry) Imhoff of Wooster; sister's -in law, Pam Singer of Ashland, Ohio and Lee Wade of Granville, Ohio; a brother-in-law, Raymond Besancon of Wooster; 5 step-children; numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, and second husband, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Elmer T. Gilbert; a twin sister, Louise Besancon, a sister, JoAnne Beichler; and a brother, Duane Singer.
It was her wish that there be no public services.
