Obituary for Max N. Brinkerhoff

Max N. Brinkerhoff, age 86, of Shreve, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021 at Sycamore Run Nursing Center in Millersburg following a period of declining health.

He was born on September 10, 1934 in Fredericksburg, Ohio to Art and Ruth (Stewart) Brinkerhoff.

After serving in the US Army he had worked in the trucking industry for most of his life.

He married Evelyn L. (Leib) Goettge on August 30, 1969. She passed away on December 13, 2007.

Max is survived by his two step-daughters, L. Sue (David) Herman and Patti J. (Shirl) Evans, all of Wooster; 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by a sister, Harriet and two brothers, George and William.

Services will be Friday, 11:00 a.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, 2284 Benden Dr., in Wooster with Pastor Nathan Ward officiating.

Visitation will be one hour prior (10:00 - 11:00 a.m.) to services at the funeral home.

A private burial will take place at a later date at East Union Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
