Obituary for Michael D. "Mike" Brown
Michael D. "Mike" Brown, age 69, of Orrville, went home to be with the Lord, on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at his residence following a period of declining health. His family was by his side.
He was born in Flora, IL. to Robert Dale and Patricia Lee (Cochran) Brown.
He married Cathy Ann Gugino, and they have resided in the Orrville area since 1985.
Mike was Owner/ Operator of Michael's Bakery in Orrville for over 35 years and was a member of Journey Church in Orrville.
He was past President of Orrville Lions Club and was a very talented musician who played many different types of instruments which also included, singing, the guitar and drums. He played the drums with the New Beginnings Christian Band; enjoyed working with computers; mostly loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife of 40 years, he is survived by his daughter, Michelle Lea Brown of Cleveland and a son, Eric Michael (Jourdan) Brown of Orrville; grandchildren, Eliana and Kellen Brown; a sister, Vicki Rumbaugh of Clinton, and a nephew, Larry "Patrick" (Jennifer) Rumbaugh of Clinton.
Due to the current pandemic and for the safety of others, there will be private services that will take place at the convenience of the family.
Funeral services will be live streamed on Saturday 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home through either the Custer-Glenn Funeral Home facebook page or the Journey Church of Orrville facebook page.
