Nancy Koenig, age 61, of West Salem, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Wooster Community Hospital following a brief illness. Her family was by her side.
She was born on April 18, 1960 in Medina to John and Marge (Kenyon) Kundrat and has been a West Salem resident for the last 18 years.
Nancy married Mark K. Koenig on August 17, 1985 in Medina. He survives.
Along with her husband, she was co-owner of Koenigs Korner in Lattasburg (West Salem) for many years.
She enjoyed raising her numerous animal companions throughout the years; loved to collect all types of jewelry and enjoyed crafts. She mostly loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by a son, Steven (Heidi) Kundrat of Poulsbo, Washington; grandchildren, Naya, Ariana and Anastasia; a sister, Penny (Thomas) Zeeff of Landrum, South Carolina.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Kathy Leatherman.
It was her previous wish that a private interment to take place at the convenience of the family.
A memorial service will be held at 1 pm on March 26, 2022 at Prince Of Peace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Medina with Pastor Daniel Haberkost officiating.
