Obituary

Norma Jean Ramsier (Morr), age 80 of Wooster went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus on Sunday morning, October 4, 2020 at her residence in Wooster following a period of declining health.

Norma was born on August 14, 1940 on a farm in Jeromesville, Ohio to Robert and Ethel (Kendall) Morr.

Her siblings included a very special sister and friend, Beverly Joan Radojcsics. Her other siblings included Donald Morr, Roger Morr, Janet Collins and Eddie Wayne Morr.

Norma attended Perrysville High School and went on to graduate from Leesburg High School in Florida.

She met a very handsome and kind man by the name of George Ramsier and they were married on April 29, 1961. Four daughters would follow in the next eight years: Kimberly Ramsier, Beverly (Del) Miller, Susan (Scott) Boyes and Peggy (Thad) Keener.

Norma along with George would raise their girls in a home full of love, joy, safety and Godly values.

Mom was a stay at home wife and mother for our family.

As daughters, we are very grateful for our mother's commitment and we are better individuals because of the role our mom played in our lives as we grew up. She was a faithful wife and mother. Holidays were a time when our mom would shine. The table was always beautifully decorated and full of delicious foods.

Traveling was important to our mom and dad. Each summer our family of six would load up the car and travel the United States camping and taking in the sights. Our parents continued to travel during their retirement years as they enjoyed time up east in the fall. Winters were spent in Florida for 27 years.

Mom's hobbies included, shopping for others, canning, and playing board games.

Mom had a relationship with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Early Sunday morning, October 4, 2020 mom entered the gates of Heaven, During her last days on earth, she spoke of those she was excited to see. What Hope mom had! Now it's been claimed! Mom is already sorely missed. Our loss is definitely Heaven's gain.

Mom was a member of West Hill Baptist Church.

Grandchildren include: Emily (Ryan) Chenevey, Rachael Boyes, Rudy Keener, Daniel Boyes, Matthew Miller, Samuel Keener, Rebecca Miller, Nathan Miller, Phoebe Keener and Ben Miller. She also has one Great-Grandchild, Charlotte Chenevey and a very special caregiver, Marie Rutter who has become like a daughter to Norma.

A private interment will take place at the Apostolic Cemetery in Rittman at the convenience of the family.

A Memorial Service of Celebration will then take place on Wednesday, 12:00 p.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home 2284 Benden Dr., in Wooster. Rev. 's Chris Radojcsics and Eric Fairthurst is officiating.
The family will receive friends (while practicing social distancing and the use of masks) ONE HOUR PRIOR (11:00 - 12:00 p.m.) TO THE SERVICE at the funeral home.

Mom was adamant that individuals not send flowers so memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to Life Care Hospice, 1900 Akron Rd., Wooster, Ohio 44691.

Life Care Hospice served our family the last eleven days of mom's life. We could not have given the care nor comfort she needed at the end of her life without the support of hospice. Please carefully consider giving to this wonderful organization that we are blessed to have in our community.

Words of private or public condolences or a memorial video may be shared with the family at: www.custerglenn.com.

Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster is honored with serving the family.

So sorry for your loss. I remember buying the big house on Heyl Rd. when George and Norma were building the ranch-style house behind it. Because the light fixtures were on backorder they couldn't move in, so they left us store all our things in the front room and put us up in a trailer. That was so nice of them. We enjoyed having such good neighbors too. We watched you girls grow up for awhile. Remember the good times and take care of each other. God bless and keep. All are in my thoughts and prayers. Dear Kim, Bev, Susan, Peggy and families:

We were deeply saddened to read of Norma's passing. She and George were long time friends and we always so enjoyed our times together. We are praying God will hold you all close and bring comfort and peace to your hearts. We sorrow not as others who have no hope!! Some day, if we know Jesus as our Savior, we will all be together again for all eternity. A blessed promise!! Sadly, because of health problems and covid, we will not be able to attend the services.

Our heartfelt sympathy,
Jim & Maxine Johnson
