Obituary for Philip H. Lechene
Philip H. Lechene, age 67, of Creston, entered into the beautiful hands of the Lord on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at LifeCare Hospice in Wooster. He was surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Spangler, PA. on March 30, 1952 to Paul and Helen (Mehay) Lechene.
Since his youth, he has worked for all of his life through his retirement in the carpentry trade.
He loved spending time with his family and friends especially his grandchildren whom he also enjoyed collecting meaningful items for. He also loved participating in outdoor activities.
He is survived by his children, Philip "Michael" Lechene of River Rouge, MI. and a daughter, April Dawn (Chris) Drake of Creston; 8 grandchildren, Tylor Lechene, Rebecca Drake, Andrew Lechene, Andre' Lechene, David Wilson, Christopher Wilson, Trenton Lechene and Christopher "Bub" Drake; 2 brothers, Gary (Nancy) Mehay of Grafton, OH., Patrick Lechene of Medina; 2 sisters, Rose Burnside of MI. and Wanda Short of TX.; many nieces, nephews, numerous extended family, friends and his special caregiver who was also like a daughter to him, Rhonda Mickna of Wooster.
Services will be Saturday, 3:00 p.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Frazier officiating.
A visitation of celebration will be 2 hours prior (1:00 - 3:00 p.m.) to the services at the funeral home.
It was his wishes there be a private interment at the convenience of the family following the services.
Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
