Obituary for Rella King

Rella Ruth King

On Saturday, August 21,2021, our precious Rella Ruth King passed from this life into God's loving arms to enjoy eternal life.

Rella was born in Akron on June 6, 1925, the youngest child of Leslie and Hilda King.
After earning a master's degree at Case Western University, Rella joined the staff of Kent State University as a professor in their Speech and Audiology Department. Upon retirement she moved to Apple Valley then later to Wooster- a community she loved!

Rella showed her love by volunteering at Wooster Hospital, Friendtique, Rosemary House and Grace Church.

Rella was one of the most unique women to walk this earth. Her kind ways and genuine interest in the lives of her family and friends and neighbors will always be remembered. Rella's bright smile, sharp wit, authentic faith and delightful laugh made all who knew her love her like crazy. We were so blessed to have her.

And now our King is with her KING.

Rella was preceded in passing by her parents, Leslie and Hilda King; sister Agnes and brother Paul.

She is survived by her beloved cousin Diane Yanick; nephews Bob (Susan) Yanick, Dan (Laura) Yanick, Carl(Magen)Sigel; great-nieces Greta, Katherine, Charlotte and Laura Sigel; great-nephews, Michael and Danny Yanick.

A celebration of her wonderful life will be held Tuesday August 31, 2021 at 10:00am at her church: Grace Church 4599 Burbank Road.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to LifeCare Hospice or Friendtique.
