Robert "Bob" Edgell age, 76 of Wooster, entered into rest on July 6, 2020 at his residence following a period of declining health. His family was by his side.
He was born on February 18, 1944 in Marion County, W.Va. to Charles & Lucy (Wright) Edgell.
He married Charlotte Craft on May 15, 2018 in Wooster. She survives.
He has been a Wooster resident for most of his life and was a member of Mount Zion Church of God in Wooster.
For many years, he had worked in farming and was a rig worker in the oil fields.
Robert enjoyed talking to people in any capacity; he had played guitar and sang with his brother, Bud in the local bands; His life was all about family and he loved spending time with them throughout the years.
His passion was to be with his hunting and fishing buddy, Mikey whom he enjoyed to be with.
In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his daughter, Bobbie (Mike) Fortune of Shreve; a son, Rob (Lorna) Starcher of Reedy, W.Va., step-children, Robert Snyder of Shreve and James (Tonya) Snyder of Wooster; grandchildren, Michael (Lydia) Fortune of Wooster, Regina (Roger) Lyons of Shreve, Jen (George) Galley of Millersburg, Courtney Mulidore and Madeline Mulidore, Braiden Fortune of Shreve, Tasha Norman and Bryan (Amber) Norman all of Reedy, W.Va., Madelyn & Marcie Snyder of Wooster and 11 great-grandchildren; siblings, Aretta (Frank) Akers of West Salem, Charlotte (Paul) Stetler and Iris (Reuben) Stark all of Wooster, Phyllis (Larry) Bellman of Kill Devil Hills, N.C. and Ernie (Nancy) Edgell of Moundsville, W.Va.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Lloye "Bud" Edgell, Charles "Billy" Edgell, Roger Edgell, Anna Seko, Dorothy Summers, Virginia Braun and Catherine Shedron.
Services will be Friday, 3:00 p.m. at Mount Zion Church of God in Wooster with Pastor Ben Crouch officiating.
Visitation will be one hour (2:00 p.m. - 3:00pm.) prior to services at the church.
A private interment will follow at the convenience of the family.
