Obituary for Robert E. "Bob" Keener

Robert E. "Bob" Keener, age 76, of Wadsworth, Ohio, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at Ohio's Hospice Life Care in Wooster following a period of declining health. His loving family was by his side.

He was born on August 28, 1946 in Lodi, Ohio to Ralph H. and Evelyn I. (Swartz) Keener.

After growing up in the Creston area for most of his life, he then helped his father on the railroad.

He then started working at the Medina Hospital as a storeroom clerk in the kitchen for 44 years before his retirement in 2010.

He married Anna M. Lonzrick on February 3, 1990 in Akron, Oh. She survives

He had attended Radiant Life Church in Wadsworth; he was a "train buff" who loved his train collection; enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting; he mostly loved spending time with his family and friends.

In addition to his beloved wife, he is survived by his children, Dawn (Tracy) Butler of Hartville, Ohio and Rich (Angela Tucker) Zion of Wooster, Ohio; 7 grandchildren, Kyle (Alycia) Zion, Bri Vondriska, Mia Vondriska, Mikaylee Tucker, Layne Rice, Adrionna Adams and Nikolai Zion; a brother, Harold (Madeline) Keener of Wadsworth, Ohio and his great-nieces and nephews.

His parents preceded him in death.

A time to celebrate his life will take place on Saturday, November 12th from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm at Radiant Life Church in Wadsworth for family and friends. This will be a time for fellowship, light refreshments, with music and an "open mic" for everyone attending.

A private interment has taken place at the convenience of the family.
