Obituary for Teresa A. Kaufman-Vance

Teresa A. Kaufman-Vance, age 75, of Wooster, went home to be with the Lord, on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Wooster Community Hospital following a brief illness. Her family was by her side.

She was born on November 22, 1946 in Wooster to Donald Elzy and Grace Mary (Riffel) Kaufman and has been a Wooster and Wayne County resident for all of her life.

She married Pastor John H. Vance. He went home to be with the Lord on January 17, 2020.

She had previously worked for the Gruder Foundation serving as a Teacher's Aide with Goodwill Industries. She then worked for the next 26 years with the Management team at the Drug Mart in Wooster before her retirement.

She was a devoted member of The Wooster Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Wooster; enjoyed collecting Mickey Mouse memorabilia; visiting Cedar Point every year and going on memorable family vacations; collected cookbooks; was an animal lover and mostly loved spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons, Rosel "Harold" (Sondra) Tennant of Ky., Donald (Jackie) Tennant of Wooster and Rosel, III Tennant of Wooster; 15 grandchildren, Haley, Roger, Elizabeth, Caleb, Mikala, Cheyanne, Corey, Lucas and Noah 8 great-grandchildren, Sophia, Seeley, Donny Jr., and her great grand daughter Imani.

In addition to her parents and beloved husband, she is preceded in death by, her great grandson, Elijah; sisters, Donna Jean Cox and Eileen Kaufman-Donley.

Services will be on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, 1:00 p.m.at Wooster Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Wooster with Pastor Ben Robinson officiating.

Visitation will be two hours prior (11:00 - 1:00 p.m.) to services at the church.

Burial will then take place at a later date at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville at the convenience of the family.
