Obituary for Tommy Scott

Tommy Scott, age 79, of Wooster, entered into rest, Monday, September 24, 2018 at his residence in Wooster following a period of declining health.

He was born on March 27, 1939 in Akron to Robert and Josephine (Leatherman) Scott and has been a Wayne County resident for most of his life.

Tom never said anything negative about anyone. He loved to tell stories about his dog, "Smokey Joe Jr." and shared numerous other stories about his youth and all that he did.

Tom was a wonderful and kind friend to all that knew him. Throughout the years, His caregivers got the pleasure of being called, "Ma", "Sis", "Dad" or "Daddy". He was also a gem with helping out at any time.

He also had a smile that would welcome you every time you met and eyes that were true windows to the purest heart that God ever blessed this world with. He was a gentle man with a spirit of humility and kindness.

He is survived by his sisters, Bernice Franks and Florence Nee and a brother, Jerry Whitworth; and his numerous friends and caregivers.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Arthur Scott and a sister, Julia Franks.

Services will be Monday, October 1, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster with Pastor Ron Williams officiating.

Visitation will be one hour ( 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.) prior to services on Monday.
