Wilma Joan "Ann" Oliver, age 89, of Wooster, went home to be with her husband and the Lord on Saturday, February 8, 2020, in Columbus following a period of declining health. She was surrounded by her loving family at her daughter’s home.

She was born on March 8, 1930, in Washingtonville, Ohio, to Perry B. and Naomi G. (Beall) Grady. She then moved to the Wooster area in 1948, after her marriage to Robert E. Oliver on November 20, 1948, in Washingtonville. He went home to be with the Lord on October 23, 2002.

Ann had previously worked at the cosmetic counter at Buehlers in Orrville and as an Office Secretary for Millborne Mobile Manor in Apple Creek for 10 years.

She had previously belonged to the Crown Retiree Club in Wooster, was a member of the Highland Church of God in Wooster, and belonged to the WWE (Widow & Widowers) Club at the church.

Ann enjoyed needlepoint, bird-watching, working on jigsaw puzzles, arts, crafts, and playing dominoes, Canasta, and Euchre with friends and family. She mostly loved spending time with her family and especially time with her many beloved grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Jeff L. (Vicki) Oliver of West Salem, Ohio, Sandy (Robert) Jessberger of Upper Arlington, Ohio, and Cindy (Keith) Fry of Wooster; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren; and 3 sisters, Irene Herman, Verona (Sam) Lippiatt, and Marlene Grady all of Salem, Ohio.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara; 3 grandchildren, Lonnie Smith, Robin Tucker, and Angie Oliver; her 4 brothers, Ralph, Wayne, Glenn, and Hobart; her 2 sisters, Helen Hartman and Barbara Headland; and her beloved feline companion, "Simon".

Visitation will be Friday, February 14, from 5 - 7 p.m., at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, 2284 Benden Dr., in Wooster.

Services will be Saturday, February 15, 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home with Pastor Mark McCord officiating followed by interment at Wooster Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to either OhioHealth Hospice, 800 McConnell Dr., Columbus, Ohio 43214 or to the American Heart Assoc. National Center, 7272 Greenville Ave., Dallas, TX 75231.

When I think of Aunt Ann and Uncle Bob, I am reminded of how very dear they were to our family. I have wonderful memories of visiting the Oliver family when we were children. It was always an adventure from riding bikes in the Smuckers parking lot to playing hide and seek and lots of laughter! Dinners were always a wonderful meal fixed with love. Our parents showed us much love and a sense of what family meant. I’ll always be grateful for the teachings of our parents. We’ll miss them all but our memories will always be with us. Love and sympathy to all the family and loved ones.

I met Wilma when I delivered Meals on Wheels to her. She was so warm and welcoming and loved for us to visit with her and her feline friends! I realized after a time that she was Cindy’s mom. Small world. She was a very sweet and delightful lady. You were all very blessed to have her in your lives.
