Obituary for Margaret Sarah Simpson

Margaret Sarah Simpson, 97, of Wooster went home to be with her Savior and Lord Monday morning, August 1, 2016.

Margaret was born July 11, 1919 in Creston to Walter Woodward and Ruth (Page) Woodward on the family farm near Creston. She married Homer A. Simpson on September 19, 1937. They eventually settled in Dalton where they raised their two children and then moved to Wooster in 1970.

She worked at Freedlanders where she enjoyed helping her customers and working in the same place as her closest Sister, Reba Snyder. Margaret loved her family, her friends and most of all loved her Lord. She was a friend and mentor to several younger women and a prayer warrior for family, friends, the church and missionaries.

She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Cheryl and John Moser of Berlin, OH., five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two step-great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and her sister, Reba Snyder.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer, in 2000, her son, Richard A. Simpson in 1996, three brothers and six sisters.

Services will be Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home, Wooster, with Pastor Jeremy Grafman officiating, followed by burial at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, Wooster.

Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to services.
