Obituary for Leona Mizer
Leona Mizer, age 87, of Wooster, entered into rest, Sunday evening, February 21, 2016 at Wayne County Care Center in Wooster where she had resided since 2013.
She was born on September 15, 1928 in Clark Twp. (Holmes County) to Russell and Ollie (Oswald) Sheneman and has been an area resident for the last 59 years.
She married Elmer Mizer on September 15, 1948 in Shanesville, Ohio. He entered into rest on August 12, 1989. She was a devoted homemaker.
She is survived by a daughter, Alice K. Evans of Wooster; a granddaughter, Stephanie (Tim) Nussbaum of N.C.; 4 great-grandchildren; 6 brothers, Blake (Charlotte) Sheneman of Orrville, Clyde (Wilma) Sheneman of Canton, Oh., Russell (Barbara) Sheneman of Dover, Oh., , Gary (Barbara) Sheneman of Mount Vernon, Oh., Robert Sheneman of Sugercreek, Oh. , Delmas Sheneman of Dover, Oh., and a sister, Maxine Wright of Mount Vernon, Oh.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by a brother, Logan Sheneman and a sister, Violet Sheneman.
Services will be Friday, 1:00 p.m. at Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster with Rev. Dr. Kevan Franklin officiating followed by interment at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
It was her wishes that there will be no visitation.
Custer-Glenn Funeral Home in Wooster is honored with serving the family.
